After obtaining a law degree from Durham University I spent over ten years working for two different UK companies in a range of commercial roles. From this experience I found I enjoyed a solution based client facing role with variety and challenge.
As a career change I came into the financial services industry in 2005 and professionally qualified as an IFA and stockbroker. In 2008, amidst the financial crisis, I took the opportunity to join St. James’s Place as an adviser in a Practice based in Hertfordshire. I spent several years there dealing with high net worth clients and gaining experience of a broad range of wealth management situations and solutions. I also became senior member of the adviser team and presented at numerous seminars.
After nearly eight successful years in the Practice and having developed a solid client base I was invited to join St. James’s Place as a Partner Practice in my own right and JF Wealth Management was formed, where I continue to advise my long standing clients and develop the business going forward.
Ongoing professional development has always been important to me and in 2016 I was delighted to achieve the prestigious accolade of Chartered Financial Planner and become a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. This, along with continuing professional development, gives me a high level of technical expertise, enablling me to offer high level, comprehensive and specialist advice to my clients.
I am married and have two young sons to keep me busy. I am a keen hockey player and have represented Cambridge City Hockey Club for many years including as Chairman and President. In my younger years I played at 1st team and county level and I am now involved in junior coaching. I also enjoy golf, cycling, tennis and cooking when family time allows!
